Introduction

The Canterbury Clay Target Club (CCTC) was established in 1994 following the amalgamation of the Christchurch and Belfast Gun Clubs.

Our facilities include 10 DTL fields, 6 Skeet fields, 2 Ball Trap fields, 1 ISSF Trench Layout, 1 ISSF Double Trap Layout and ISSF Skeet Layouts.

The Canterbury Clay Target Club ground is only one of two National grounds.

The primary roles of the CCTC are:

  1. To effectively administer the facility for the benefit of the members and individuals who participate in the sport regardless of levels of ability.

  2. To follow recognised rules for competition within the various shooting disciplines, with particular emphasis on safety, fair competition and etiquette.

  3. To organise and oversee major championship events including Canterbury Provincial championships; South Island championships; National DTL and Skeet championships; ISSF (Olympic Disciplines) Regional and National championships.

  4. To foster the growth of the sport by providing modern reliable facilities.

Summary
